Military institutions, political institutions, government institutions, and business institutions are the fundamental needs of every country. Military institutions make a country safe. Political institutions make a country strong. Government institutions make a country stable. Business institutions make a country prosperous. Countries that are safe, strong, stable, and prosperous are the ones that become developed nations.
Among the 195 countries of the world, those countries whose military institutions perform well are considered safe countries. Those whose political institutions perform well are strong countries. Those whose government institutions perform well are stable countries. And those whose business institutions perform well are prosperous countries.
In Pakistan, military institutions perform well — therefore Pakistan is a safe country. But political institutions in Pakistan do not perform well — therefore Pakistan is not a strong country. Government institutions do not perform well — therefore Pakistan is not a stable country. Business institutions do not perform well — therefore Pakistan is not a prosperous country.
Key Questions
1. Can Pakistan become a strong country without improving the performance of its political institutions?
2. Can Pakistan become a stable country without improving the performance of its government institutions?
3. Can Pakistan become a prosperous country without improving the performance of its business institutions?
In any country, the performance of business institutions improves only when the performance of government institutions is good.
And the performance of government institutions improves only when the performance of political institutions is good.
Therefore:
1. If Pakistan’s political institutions improve, then the performance of government institutions will also improve.
2. If Pakistan’s government institutions improve, then the performance of business institutions will also improve.
3. If Pakistan’s business institutions improve, then a new era of prosperity can begin in Pakistan.
Until political institutions, government institutions, and business institutions in Pakistan are improved, Pakistan will continue to remain a safe country due to the performance of its military institutions — but it will not become a strong, stable, and prosperous country.
Note
Politics means dealing with the social, administrative, financial, and economic affairs of the people. Identifying the causes of problems in social, administrative, financial, and economic matters, presenting programmes for improvement, and explaining the method of implementation — this is politics. Political parties are formed for this very purpose.
Any nation that does not have political leaders capable of guiding the people — or whose people lack the habit of accepting and following the leadership of their own political leaders — becomes politically (socially, administratively, financially, and economically) enslaved by other nations.
Inna Allaha laa yughayyiru maa bi-qawmin hatta yughayyiroo maa bi-anfusihim. (13:11)
Allah does not change the condition of any nation until they change what is in themselves. (13:11)
